Early mirrors were likely highly polished bronze or brass, not glass. Someone performing a self-inspection with a mirror.「Metal for auditing, scrutinizing, peering at net on downward thrusting spurting genitals」as a polished, metallic MIRROR. The first mirrors, other than a still bowl or pool of water, were polished metal (not glass). Always keep in mind that these glyphs were originally created by groups of clever old men as vulgar riddles and analogies for their own entertainment (see 籒 for that) and represented Chinese society many thousands of years ago, and not as a written or spoken language.
