Mange was commonly contracted both in, and from, wet, dark, humid, cloth-bound, dis-integrated feet where the mites can burrow deeply into the skin. Mange can also be contracted from close skin contact with sheep, as highly infectious sheep scab, or scabies caused by the mite Sarcoptes scabiei, with ewes being used in the same manner as sexual services providers (see all the various glyphs related to「sheep, a praiseworthy experience」). Head sores may due to an infection of mites anywhere one grows hair, on any sort of head.
Nevertheless, these elements of「illness, unhealthy physical condition」of a「person sitting or lying most of the time」most likely indicated BEDSORES, or SKIN DISEASE caused by pressure-induced ulcerations of the skin, sitting or lying in one position too long, day after day, night after night, not likely occurring on the facial cheeks as suggested by the given external source, but instead, on the cheeks of the buttocks, but that whole scene is understandably now being denied and covered-up, hence the reference to MANGE.

If these glyphs had been intended for language use, the sages could not have possibly designed a worse system.
Is it truly possible that all these glyphs started out as off-color jokes and puzzles? Yes! It is!
Sex had no shame in ancient China. Why would it? And now, there is a cover-up.
No one is suggesting these glyphs depict contemporary life in China, Japan, or anywhere else.
This site describes glyph meanings, not people.
These glyphs however, describe many and various things, including people, long before there were any notions of becoming politically incorrect.
The question to be answered is, should these glyphs continue being used, by anyone, anywhere, for expressing language?

Despite how bad the human world is today, do you actually believe that the so-called good old days were any better? Or they could only have been worse?
By the way, with a limited number of the same elements used by the sages again and again to form these glyphs,
