「Person with bodily organs that are out-of-reach」may need a substitute praiseworthy orifice once in a while, one selected from the herd…ewes as mating partners were not as picky as humans. A HIRED HAND would be much more likely to abuse the goods or any readily available bodily organs, including the ewes, and refers to someone who invariably is copulating, schtupping (ejaculation into a birth canal or other attainable orifice), tupping「person who now is out-of-reach with bodily organs.」GROOM in this sense refers to the keeper of a stable full of herd animals, the lord's harem. Always keep in mind that these glyphs most likely were originally designed by groups of clever old men as vulgar riddles for their own entertainment (see 籒 for that), representing Chinese society many thousands of years ago, but intended NOT as a written or spoken language when created.
