　It's what's for dinner: raw brains as the「sticky splat in cavity of fallen person」(a bit salty,「the other red meat」) as the SACRIFICE offered to those remaining alive. The extended meaning of UNFETTERED may refer to the state of the skull no longer holding in the brains, or more likely perhaps, that the「fallen person」will no longer be bothered by the cares of this world.「Salt」seems to be a merging of「sticky fluids」and「inside a cavity」as the salty taste of cerebral fluid. Note that there does not seem to be a Unicode element to represent the sticky fluids inside, so「splatted and sticky」has been substituted. The actual element seems to merge「soft spot, hole in skull bones of infant」with「sticky fluids」(but you'll need to reach your own conclusions as to why that is so…). Elements as「cavities full of sticky fluids」with「person who sits most of the time, concubine」suggests that her foot bindings have been removed and her feet are UNFETTERED as they are then in use by a client, and that her life has been SACRIFICED in order to provide such services for her owner's pleasure, or profit (if she is leased or rented on a short-term basis by her owner)…treating female service providers as commodities was common, referring to them using the euphemism of「sacrificial meat.」

If these glyphs had been intended for language use, the sages could not have possibly designed a worse system. Is it truly possible that all these glyphs started out as off-color jokes and puzzles? Yes! It is! Sex had no shame in ancient China. Why would it? And now, there is a cover-up. No one is suggesting these glyphs depict contemporary life in China, Japan, or anywhere else.
