手紙を書くのに使われる筆を「竹は犬の毛のような（いつでも使える）」もので、先端に墨を浸すための短い毛があるものと表現することがある。この象形文字の「竹」はおそらく「2本の竹の筆」と「2匹の犬が戦っている」ことを指しており、書面による通信、手紙のやり取りを意味し、出版用に書かれたものではなく、受け取る人が読むために「限定されて」書かれたものである。「竹は狭く限定されており、細い線でページ上を筆で動かすと、前後に切り裂く」。細長い竹の板の内側も文字を書くために使われました。

May describe CALLIGRAPHY BRUSHES used for letter writing as「bamboo like dog baculum (always ready for use) with short hairs」at the tip for dipping into ink.「Bamboo」in this glyph conceivably refers to「two bamboo calligraphy brushes」paired with「two dogs battling」to mean WRITTEN CORRESPONDENCE, back and forth LETTER WRITING, not something written for publication, instead「confined」to be read by the recipient.「Bamboo narrow and confined, slashing back and forth」as the brush strokes on a page in thin lines. The inside surface of long「narrow bamboo slats」was also used for writing upon.

Always keep in mind that these glyphs were originally created by groups of bored old men as vulgar riddles and analogies for their own entertainment (see 籒 for that) and represented Chinese society many thousands of years ago, and not as a written or spoken language. If these glyphs had been intended for language use, the sages could not have possibly designed a worse system. Is it truly possible that all these glyphs started out as off-color jokes and puzzles? Yes! It is! Sex had no shame in ancient China. Why would it? And now, there is a cover-up. No one is suggesting these glyphs depict contemporary life in China, Japan, or anywhere else.
