Meanings of elements
NETTING, WEAVING and WRAPPED INSIDE with CATERPILLAR, INSECT LARVA
…or: NETTING, WEAVING WITHIN SPREAD LEGS, SNARE, CLAPTRAP and WRAPPED INSIDE, WRAPPING AROUND, HEAD AND NECK DANGER with SNAKE, WORM, LARVA, BUGS, PATHOGENS, CORKSCREW DEMONS
An external source lists the HORNWORM, which actually is not a worm at all nor is it dangerous to humans, but rather a caterpillar, (Manduca quinguemaculata) that notably sports a long, horn-like protrusion from its posterior…「netting wrapped around larva」describes the cocoons that caterpillars weave in which to metamorphose from the pupa stage into a moth or a butterfly. COCOONS generally are FIRMLY ATTACHED to twigs or other objects.「Netting wrapped around pathogens, corkscrew demons, loose dripping from orifice, the snake」as the result frankly of human beings sporting various long, horn-like green rod protrusions from various posteriors and wrapped in a poultice, in that sense equating humans to hornworms as it were, who actually are slimy, worm-like, and dangerous to other humans.
「Netting, head wrapped with bugs」may also refer to a groin poultice teeming with PUBIC CRABS, blood-sucking parasites. A「network of worms hooked between spread legs」refers INTESTINAL PARASITES that are also FIRMLY ATTACHED, CONNECTED, such as tapeworms, flatworms, pinworms, roundworms, whipworms, or hookworms. Intestinal parasites were a common problem 10,000 years ago when many folks snacked on raw meat and walked around barefoot, and are a common problem today since many folks still snack on undercooked meat and walk around barefoot, such as children:
「There are a vast number of worms that can live within the human body. The worms live in the digestive tract, especially in the intestines, from where they obtain their nutrition. Hence, worms are parasites living within the body of humans, who are the hosts. …Worm infestations are present in people of all ages but they are much more of a problem in children who are just beginning to learn to cope with their parasitic enemies. …Intestinal worms, quite simply put, are worms that live within the intestines of humans. These are parasitic worms which feed on the food that passes through the human digestive tract. All these worms spend their entire lifetimes in the intestines of humans. They breed within the intestines and hence increase their populations. The worms have hook-like attachments on their heads (called a 'scolex') by which they attach onto the inner lining of the intestines. Though worms are generally found in the intestines, they can also be found within the stomach and the rectum. …Worms [were, 100 years ago] present in the intestines of all human beings.

「Networking」「hooked snakes」or「skin slit for head and neck, vulva short leg two ways, two sides」for both genital regions meaning FIRMLY ATTACHED, CONNECTED. Snakes have vestigial hind legs, claw-like appendages that are held「inside」around the cloaca, the orifice used for copulation, called「anal spurs」barbs with which the female snake FIRMLY ATTACHES herself to the skin of the male snake during reproduction. The male snake possesses the same inner barbs but also has forked hemipenes (a「short leg with two sides」) normally held inside the body, and also attaches barbs to the inside walls of the female's cloaca, the snake's equivalent to a vagina. Hemipenes are half-open penises, with semen troughs exposed, so this FIRM INSIDE CONNECTION and ATTACHMENT FROM BOTH SIDES is vital. Thus,「repeated copulations among snake genitals, cloaca and hemipenes」are FIRMLY ATTACHED and CONNECTED. Furthermore, while the male snake possesses a forked penis, note that he normally does not copulate with two females simultaneously, a fantasy reserved for human males and bonobos, it seems. Further, this glyph is apparently unrelated to silk-spinning caterpillars, despite what some sources say.

Modern definitions (that generally disregard history) …excluding politically incorrect concepts and other meanings deemed offensive today; may list only pigeonholed definitions, euphemisms, or meaningless mnemonics)
Chinese: short name for Sichuan 四川 province; one of the Three Kingdoms 三國|三国 after the fall of the Han dynasty
Japanese: Shu, Shu Han
Unihan extended: name of an ancient state
EDRDG: green caterpillar; Szechwan

Always keep in mind that these glyphs were originally created by groups of clever old men as vulgar riddles and analogies for their own entertainment (see 籒 for that) and represented Chinese society many thousands of years ago, and not as a written or spoken language. If these glyphs had been intended for language use, the sages could not have possibly designed a worse system. Is it truly possible that all these glyphs started out as off-color jokes and puzzles? Yes! It is! Sex had no shame in ancient China. Why would it? And now, there is a cover-up. No one is suggesting these glyphs depict contemporary life in China, Japan, or anywhere else. This site describes glyph meanings, not people. These glyphs however, describe many and various things, including people, long before there were any notions of becoming politically incorrect. The question to be answered is, should these glyphs continue being used, by anyone, anywhere, for expressing language? (More...) Despite how bad the human world is today, do you actually believe that the so-called good old days were any better? Or they could only have been worse?

By the way, with a limited number of the same elements used by the sages again and again to form these glyphs, you should expect to find the same explanations again and again, as tedious as that may become, and as an inherent trait of any dictionary. This site explains the dual meanings of glyphs most often ignored by other sources that provide you with only the sanctioned definition, generally.
