Perhaps a whip-arrow (launched without a bow) that functioned as does a javelin, using the cord to increase the propulsion…yet, it seems this weapon is represented by a different glyph, and many may have been launched in a single battle, not「only one.」Perhaps a signal arrow discharged by an archer near an army's commander to alert his troops that the battle had been successful, launched with a bow and only「one time」since the battle is now「past tense.」
