「But it gets better. Male turtles are known to hang on (and in) for hours on end. For 2, 8, 12 hours…or more. Through the years, this has been impressively noted by the males of the human species. I'm willing to bet this is somehow related to the belief that turtle eggs are aphrodisiacs beyond compare. Incidentally, and perhaps not unexpectedly, the dried and shaved green turtle penis is considered wickedly potent when added to booze, a sort of Viagra with King Kong strength. First hand experience tells me that neither are particularly effective. Back in the ocean, males are the pursuers, the females are the deciders. An unreceptive female will press rear flippers together and/or rest on the sea floor, prohibiting access to her cloaca and eggs. That leaves the males swimming in circles around her, biting each other, mounting each other, mounting logs or buoys or…(back to the warning signs on the beach)…you. A horny male green turtle will aggressively mount a swimmer, snorkeler or diver. Expect a big claw on each shoulder and a large tail around underneath. Attached to 400 pounds of reptile ready for some all day and all night lovin.' Consider yourself warned.」

Without a doubt, the Irish also have knowledge of their own to pass along in these trying times:「Masturbation will not spread coronavirus, especially if you wash your hands (and any sex toys) with soap and water for at least 20 seconds before and after.」Nonetheless and regrettably, unlike in dynastic China, it must be undertaken alone to truly be a preventative countermeasure but still achieve the desired result with some degree of safety.

The Dutch, too have the same solution—it seems masturbation has become mainstream in the media the world over due to the coronavirus (it has always been 'the main stream' in reality, albeit covertly for most folks):
「'Don't have sex with your partner if they have been isolated because of (suspected) coronavirus infection,' the RVIM says. 'Sex with yourself or with others at a distance is possible (think of telling erotic stories, masturbating together).'」

Needless to point out perhaps, but Chinese shamans from antiquity hit upon the same solution as a pandemic preventative countermeasure, honed for ultimate client satisfaction by utilizing naked females with no-longer-integrated feet as masturbatory sex buddies available for short-term rental with erotic visualization of live prepubescent female genitalia engaging in autoerotic stimulation herself, as a solution to the same problem facing us now, but in pre-Internet days.
Modern definitions (that generally disregard history) …excluding politically incorrect concepts and other meanings deemed offensive today; may list only pigeonholed definitions, euphemisms, or meaningless mnemonics)
Chinese: sea turtle
Unihan extended: a kind of sea turtle
EDRDG: kind of sea turtle; surname
Always keep in mind that these glyphs were originally created by groups of clever old men as vulgar riddles and analogies for their own entertainment
(see 籒 for that)
and represented Chinese society many thousands of years ago, and not as a written or spoken language.
If these glyphs had been intended for language use, the sages could not have possibly designed a worse system.
Is it truly possible that all these glyphs started out as off-color jokes and puzzles? Yes! It is!
Sex had no shame in ancient China. Why would it? And now, there is a cover-up.
No one is suggesting these glyphs depict contemporary life in China, Japan, or anywhere else.
This site describes glyph meanings, not people.
These glyphs however, describe many and various things, including people, long before there were any notions of becoming politically incorrect.
The question to be answered is, should these glyphs continue being used, by anyone, anywhere, for expressing language?
Despite how bad the human world is today, do you actually believe that the so-called good old days were any better? Or they could only have been worse?
By the way, with a limited number of the same elements used by the sages again and again to form these glyphs,
you should expect to find the same explanations again and again, as tedious as that may become, and as an inherent trait of any dictionary.
This site explains the dual meanings of glyphs most often ignored by other sources that provide you with only the sanctioned definition, generally.
