　PIGEONS and DOVES are birds that cluster with other pigeons and doves. TURTUR DOVES, known generally by the misnomer 'turtledove,' have no obvious connection with reptiles such as turtles. Sounds produced by the bird when calm resemble「turr, turr」as a sort of purring or cooing. Nevertheless, the genetically-related Oriental turtle dove employs a different call altogether with four-syllables.「Mating stance bird」used to describe young, small animals that frequently gather in large clusters at temples and shrines where they spew whitish splats indiscriminately: in the case of the actual birds, feces, and in the case of service providers in the past, client emissions.
