Elements vary: some fonts appear as「cut meat, reaming meat with sharp tool, punishing, excruciating, amputating living flesh in front of person, person's rod」but in other fonts, as「insertion, enter into, penetrate within」with「indication of extent, rod」and「sever, ream meat.」Scholars say that lower two elements together had a special meaning in Chinese, which was to「amputate feet」as a punishment, and dictionaries state the meaning as the EMPEROR'S ASSENT…to cutting of his own or someone else's feet as a punishment? more likely the punishment depicted here is mashing, reaming, or slicing off penis meat for whatever reason (as a「person's rod meat severed」), with either the CONSENT of the patient or the emperor, as the case may be. ACCEDE means to reluctantly agree after giving up the fight, agreeing to a demand or no-win situation. Doing all that in front of an assembly of people smacks of punishment-torture of a prisoner, enemy, escaped slave, or criminal before an audience, something of which the dynastic Chinese were quite fond, as were and still are most all other human societies (seen any movies lately? ever been forced to gnarfle the Garthok at work?). Or perhaps the emperor wanted witnesses to his medical treatments in case the practitioner erred.
Some sources list the meaning of BEING CONVEYED TO HEAVEN that may or may not be due to the arrival of a gaggle of NEW DIVAS: lord's or emperor's CONSENT to accept the candidates formally by「assemble in front of person」or「insertion with rod, extent, one, horizontal motions, an array of items」(varies by font) with「reaming meat」: no mention of who is actually conveyed to a heavenly realm, but most likely the concubines, and not the lord who was already there. Perhaps the「amputate feet」listing has to do with mashing the arch bones, rendering the feet unfit for walking. Note that in English, a gaggle is an indefinite number of animals with webbed feet when not in flight, and a bevy refers specifically to a group of deer 鹿, quail 鶉, larks 鷚, or young ladies 妾, all defined as essentially the same by these glyphs as「easy meat」especially when unable to flee due to crushed metatarsi in both feet.

Always keep in mind that these glyphs were originally created by groups of bored old men as vulgar riddles and analogies for their own entertainment
(see 籒 for that)
and represented Chinese society many thousands of years ago, and not as a written or spoken language.
If these glyphs had been intended for language use, the sages could not have possibly designed a worse system.
Is it truly possible that all these glyphs started out as off-color jokes and puzzles? Yes! It is!
Sex had no shame in ancient China. Why would it? And now, there is a cover-up.
No one is suggesting these glyphs depict contemporary life in China, Japan, or anywhere else.
This site describes glyph meanings, not people.
These glyphs however, describe many and various things, including people, long before there were any notions of becoming politically incorrect.
The question to be answered is, should these glyphs continue being used, by anyone, anywhere, for expressing language?
Despite how bad the human world is today, do you actually believe that the so-called good old days were any better? Or they could only have been worse?
By the way, with a limited number of the same elements used by the sages again and again to form these glyphs,
you should expect to find the same explanations again and again, as tedious as that may become, and as an inherent trait of any dictionary.
This site explains the dual meanings of glyphs most often ignored by other sources that provide you with only the sanctioned definition, generally.
