Meanings of elements
TREE, WOOD and SWELLED, ENLARGED, ENGORGED
A live tree with its trunk exploded and bent over, such as one directly struck by lightning, appears much as did a blown-up gag cigar from the last century. The tree will suddenly bend over midway and tends to flare out on all directions as the green wood fibers are torn apart. Obviously, a broken tree will be fully erect only from the root base up to the breakage point. The temperature of lightning exceeds 50,000 degrees Kelvin:

　Reference to the right element is to both swelling, engorging and to the explosiveness of very hot internal fluids, either vaporized sap, ejaculate, or other discharged material such as gleet under pressure from within a BENT WOODY.

Always keep in mind that these glyphs were originally created by groups of clever old men as vulgar riddles and analogies for their own entertainment (see 籒 for that) and represented Chinese society many thousands of years ago, and not as a written or spoken language. If these glyphs had been intended for language use, the sages could not have possibly designed a worse system. Is it truly possible that all these glyphs started out as off-color jokes and puzzles? Yes! It is! Sex had no shame in ancient China. Why would it? And now, there is a cover-up. No one is suggesting these glyphs depict contemporary life in China, Japan, or anywhere else.
