Glyph elements  [ Toggle Font ]

Meanings of elements
PENIS with SUPERFLUOUS SUPER FLUID FLOW from STRETCHED CROTCH SKIN
…or: FLAUNTING, SHOWING OFF with CROTCH FORESKIN
[Elements vary by font] referring to a HARD BYPRODUCT, or the CRUST, SCRAP that remains after performing some task with「stretched skin of crotch」「penis surrounded in stretched skin」(foreskin, in this case). The CRUSTY SCRAP is normally discovered sometime the following morning.「Throbbing」( within ) has morphed say some scholars, leaving the modern left element of「superfluous from an erection」or literally,「surrounded on all sides within penis sheath, a super flow of fluids with foreskin crotch, showing off by flaunting one's prepuce」that when used alone as a glyph also refers to「husk, crust.」This crusty husk can be considered something「hard but unnecessary, crusty remains, by-product」ejaculated from the「stiff skin in crotch, long-handled woody tool」of the right element. All in all, it seems a throbbing penile erection in crotch was depicted three times in this one glyph with a crotch, emphasizing the「stiff, hard」part of something, such as a HUSK, HULL, or HURD and perhaps some repetitive sessions.
Some scholars say this glyph means 'shaking a hand bell' (from repeated reciprocal hand motions shaking a「dong, clapper」) for the purposes first of stimulating the release of, and then flinging off one's hand and fingers, the ejected spunky residue. Others explain that the left element morphed from「penis helmet with copulation or due to bent appendage」(as「crust on head」. See ).

Modern definitions (that generally disregard history) …excluding politically incorrect concepts and other meanings deemed offensive today; may list only pigeonholed definitions, euphemisms, or meaningless mnemonics)
Chinese: variant of 殼|壳
Japanese: egg, eggshell, husk, hull, pod, chaff, chicken bones, chicken carcass, poor-quality coke, left-overs, remnants
Unihan extended: casing, shell, husk, hull, skin
EDRDG: husk; nut shell

Always keep in mind that these glyphs were originally created by groups of clever old men as vulgar riddles and analogies for their own entertainment (see 籒 for that) and represented Chinese society many thousands of years ago, and not as a written or spoken language. If these glyphs had been intended for language use, the sages could not have possibly designed a worse system. Is it truly possible that all these glyphs started out as off-color jokes and puzzles? Yes! It is! Sex had no shame in ancient China. Why would it? And now, there is a cover-up. No one is suggesting these glyphs depict contemporary life in China, Japan, or anywhere else. This site describes glyph meanings, not people. These glyphs however, describe many and various things, including people, long before there were any notions of becoming politically incorrect. The question to be answered is, should these glyphs continue being used, by anyone, anywhere, for expressing language? (More...) Despite how bad the human world is today, do you actually believe that the so-called good old days were any better? Or they could only have been worse?

By the way, with a limited number of the same elements used by the sages again and again to form these glyphs, you should expect to find the same explanations again and again, as tedious as that may become, and as an inherent trait of any dictionary. This site explains the dual meanings of glyphs most often ignored by other sources that provide you with only the sanctioned definition, generally.
