「Use of hands for compacting soil with flaccid」or「classifier for cluster sets with flaccid」but with meanings of SUSPENDED in midair, HANGING DOWN as might a long sticky stream from a stud or peg ANXIOUS, CONCERNED and WORRIED that all add up to the constant drip, drip, drip of gonorrheal gleet from a now-flaccid stud peg while using hands to tie on a poultice and prevent slick spots from materializing on the floor.
Old form clearly referenced one's poultice「netting and soil compaction」(罣) as being a hindrance to the actions about to occur, hence the need for removing the netting and HANGING it (to dry a bit, to prevent it from staining and soiling other items, and so on), SUSPENDING its use by hanging it from a stud protruding from a wall as an example.
Great range of meanings given by external sources for this glyph also suggest the pleasurable use of a buttocks plug and the subsequent billing for services rendered…and in fact the glyph is used as a counter for clusterfucks, engaging in a gamble, risking one's life in exchange for pleasure.
「Talented use of hands」with「buttocks plug」and「flaccid」as in HANG, HANGING something on a peg, some sort of an ACTION NOT YET COMPLETED or literally HANGING OUT OF something such as an anus, TO BE ONLY PARTWAY IN (as compared to the modern vernacular: 'all in babe'). Highlights of meanings include: hang, connected (hitched together), apply (hang upon), costs and expenses (hung costs), payment on account (hanging balance), depend (hung up on), meeting with someone (hang around), consult with (hang with), entrust (leave hanging), require time (hang time), about to begin to do, to actually begin to do, half-finished (as in, a hung jury), sit on something (hang your backside), sprinkle over, and so on and so forth: fly now, pay later.

Always keep in mind that these glyphs were originally created by groups of bored old men as vulgar riddles and analogies for their own entertainment
(see 籒 for that)
and represented Chinese society many thousands of years ago, and not as a written or spoken language.
If these glyphs had been intended for language use, the sages could not have possibly designed a worse system.
Is it truly possible that all these glyphs started out as off-color jokes and puzzles? Yes! It is!
Sex had no shame in ancient China. Why would it? And now, there is a cover-up.
No one is suggesting these glyphs depict contemporary life in China, Japan, or anywhere else.
This site describes glyph meanings, not people.
These glyphs however, describe many and various things, including people, long before there were any notions of becoming politically incorrect.
The question to be answered is, should these glyphs continue being used, by anyone, anywhere, for expressing language?
Despite how bad the human world is today, do you actually believe that the so-called good old days were any better? Or they could only have been worse?
By the way, with a limited number of the same elements used by the sages again and again to form these glyphs,
you should expect to find the same explanations again and again, as tedious as that may become, and as an inherent trait of any dictionary.
This site explains the dual meanings of glyphs most often ignored by other sources that provide you with only the sanctioned definition, generally.
