　And now, for the alternative meaning, the one that was supposed to get the laughs among all the other sages: elements of「fluids, flow of homosexual men」who often engage in anal coitus, and the human rectum is endowed with very few mucus releasing glands (unlike a bird's cloaca, as a comparison) so that the motion does tend to resemble「repeated foamy waves crashing into a sandy shore」with the flesh of the rectum moving in and out the same way as incoming waves push sand up the beach, and outgoing waves pull sand out again (…those Chinese sages…).
　A Chinese euphemism for anal coitus refers to a gritty sensation, sandy conditions, foamy flecks in wavelike motions, and so on.

Always keep in mind that these glyphs were originally created by groups of bored old men as vulgar riddles and analogies for their own entertainment (see 籒 for that) and represented Chinese society many thousands of years ago, and not as a written or spoken language. If these glyphs had been intended for language use, the sages could not have possibly designed a worse system. Is it truly possible that all these glyphs started out as off-color jokes and puzzles?
