Emphasis marker on the two「no-longer-integrated feet, long time tension and gasps」of「person who will be mostly sitting for the remainder of life」a LONG TIME and into the DISTANT FUTURE, FOREVER (relatively, at least for the subject person).
　While this glyph is drawn slightly different than is「ice」(氷) the two glyphs are similar, and some ice does seem to last for a LONG TIME, particularly near the Earth's poles and in glaciers, meaning LONG TIME OF EXISTENCE, and that a glacier was likely to be around in the DISTANT FUTURE, prior to global heating. Ice within and the rock being scraped beneath are full of「tension.」…glaciers do come and go over thousands of years, particularly in times when the Earth as a whole is cooling or warming. Nevertheless, topmost portion of the central「stream」stroke may indicate a glacier's「horizontal flow」and the marker stroke suggests that this is the concept being emphasized:「ice flow.」Note that today in Japanese, the term「glacier」is represented by two glyphs together:「ice」with「riverbed, could be water, channel, canal」carved by the horizontal motion of the frozen substance, often moving on a thin layer of liquid water due to the great weight and pressure above.

Always keep in mind that these glyphs were originally created by groups of clever old men as vulgar riddles and analogies for their own entertainment (see 籒 for that) and represented Chinese society many thousands of years ago, and not as a written or spoken language.
