Meanings of elements

LOOSE DRIPPING STENCH and ERECTION with FILLED, SCREWING, NEEDLE, TWISTED, CROSSED SHAPE or OFFERING SOMETHING

「Loose dripping stench」with「erection full, twisted, screwing needle」describes treatments with a needle to remove scar tissue blockages of the urethra and foul-smelling accumulations of pus gleet from a gonorrhea infection, to mean DEEPLY PENETRATE, to CAP, a SHUT-OFF VALVE, some sort of MECHANISM OF DEFENSE, to ream and CUT CLEANLY, with a reference to the various colors of sticky threads discharged by the procedure appearing BRAIDED, and falling FLOWER PETALS that seem to refer to discharged drops as flower blossom petals blown by a breeze (see 桜 and 櫻). Treatments as a DEFENSE against a PENETRATING odor DISCERNED and RECOGNIZED as symptomatic of disease.
Three different glyphs using a torture needle repeatedly were simplified and are all now represented by this one glyph:
辯:「torture」with「intercourse」with「torture」again as DEEP PENETRATION.
瓣:「torture」with「cucumber」with「torture」again as a self-preservation DEFENSE mechanism, especially since a「penetrated melon, cucumber」in Chinese refers directly to one's loss of virginity and the need to shut that self-closing hole in one's own DEFENSE, figuratively or literally closing fluted PETAL-like labia to prevent deflowering.
辨:「torture following torture」as rope twisted and tightened as a BRAID, with the twisting rope used to asphyxiate, release, repeat in a torture sequence or for sexual enhancement such as autoerotic asphyxiation, the so-called 'choking game'…believe it or not, cutting off oxygen to the brain is never a good idea no matter how it is accomplished.

Always keep in mind that these glyphs most likely were originally designed by groups of clever old men as vulgar riddles for their own entertainment (see 籒 for that), representing Chinese society many thousands of years ago, but intended NOT as a written or spoken language when created. If these glyphs had been intended for language use, the sages could not have possibly designed a worse system! Is it truly possible that all these glyphs started out as off-color jokes and puzzles? Yes! It is, and often with multiple correct answers to each riddle, the same as is true today. Sex had no shame in ancient China. Why would it? But, have there been necessary rewrites and altered explanations of the original elemental meanings over the centuries?

No one is suggesting these glyphs depict contemporary life in China, Japan, or anywhere else. This site describes glyph meanings, not people. These glyphs however, describe many and various things, including people, long before there were any notions of becoming politically incorrect. The question to be answered is, should these glyphs continue being used, by anyone, anywhere, for expressing language? (More...)
