「Deeply felt」for the「pure and clean, the inexperienced」leads to meanings of PITY, COMPASSION—especially when the pure, clean and inexperienced are sold as a slave/service provider and as「meat pricks.」Once our situation is viewed without any sugar coatings, not through rose-colored glasses but just「purely and cleanly」the human condition is often pathetic and pitiful, generally in need of more compassion, expressing and recognizing the TRUE CONDITIONS, which are the FACTS. Right element literally is「prick meat, blue-green」as one sick puppy dog, but formerly,「prick with screwing burrow」「prick with yearning, yen」(靑) that is depicting the deflowering of a「young, pure, clean and undefiled」virgin…the「deep feelings」associated with that once in a lifetime experience which cannot ever be reversed may lead to PITY, COMPASSION, and also are reflective of the TRUE CONDITIONS, the FACTS of life. Elements as「deep feeling」of a「yen, yearning to prick a virginal vagina」also works for the darker side as PASSION or LUST, expressing and recognizing a TRUE CONDITION, often a FACT with humans as the way things really are and the actual situation.
A much simpler explanation is found in a「stream of emissions, blue-green」that is symptomatic of a sexually transmitted infection, one that spelled serious trouble in a day and age without antibiotics, inspiring PITY and COMPASSION, recognizing a TRUE CONDITION that is often a FACT with humans, a risk associated with LUST and PASSION.

Always keep in mind that these glyphs most likely were originally designed by groups of clever old men as vulgar riddles for their own entertainment (see 籒 for that), representing Chinese society many thousands of years ago, but intended NOT as a written or spoken language when created. If these glyphs had been intended for language use, the sages could not have possibly designed a worse system! Is it truly possible that all these glyphs started out as off-color jokes and puzzles? Yes! It is, and often with multiple correct answers to each riddle, the same as is true today. Sex had no shame in ancient China. Why would it? But, have there been necessary rewrites and altered explanations of the original elemental meanings over the centuries?

No one is suggesting these glyphs depict contemporary life in China, Japan, or anywhere else. This site describes glyph meanings, not people.
