One of the very few glyphs that may have been drawn not due to the meanings of combining the elements, but rather simply because of the resulting shape of the glyph.「Orifice, mouth (or eyeballs some say), two sets of wings (perhaps…if using some imagination), and scorpion-like tail」to depict a DRAGONFLY, DAMSELFLY. Note that these elements obviously cannot be drawn individually and still form this glyph. Sources also state meanings of FROG, TOAD, TURTLE, again with the big eyes. Frogs and toads also have a tail, but only during the early stage of life. These amphibians and this reptile manifest the ability to CONCENTRATE a long time while waiting to strike prey with an open mouth.
　However, the DRAGONFLY possesses a most remarkable ability for UNINTERRUPTED CONCENTRATION, with sudden, abrupt, rapid movement:
