Glyph elements  [ Toggle Font ]

Meanings of elements
REPEATED HEAD SLIDING with MALLET-LIKE POUNDING
…or: REPEATED BOBBING HEAD on WOODY of PERSON PALMING PRICK
…or: GRAIN PLANTS and BIRD ON GROUND
Left element is「grain plants standing in a field」that do not put on recognizable「mating, courtship displays.」…but the elements individually as「repeatedly bobbing head」on「woody」of「person palming prick」signals that this a young boy fondling himself and TOO YOUNG, IMMATURE, and INFANTILE to know better, with his head still 'green' TENDER, SOFT (i.e., a greenhorn).「Repeated bobbing head with pounding like a mallet, woody in mating stance」might also describe many, if not all, human males of most any age while spilling seeds.
「Gonorrhea with mating display」suggests one or both participants are unaware and uneducated of the risk of transmitting an infection from one party to another, still IMMATURE and VERY YOUNG to realize the dangers of a head that is green, TENDER, and SOFT, i.e., a greenhorn (gonorrhea gleet is green, generally), too ignorant to know that the condition should not be advertised locally in a mating display.
「Seeds at stalk tip of a mating display」may signal an adult male pedophile excited and spurting, being overwhelmed by one or more youths while leering that is now commonly referred to as Jared's syndrome, a condition that afflicted nearly all human males until fairly recently in human history when the laws were changed calling for incarceration and large pecuniary payments by those stricken, but with an exemption for bonobos (known as a 'loophole,' the shape created by joining the tip of the thumb with that of a finger)…'fairly recently' in human history say, only for the past 750 years in England, for instance, compared with 250,000 years or so of modern humanity's existence based on chromosomal evidence.
Furthermore, pedophilia is still actually celebrated in many parts of the world. Whether legally or illegally, outright purchase or short-term rental, as long-term marriage contracts or as one-night stands, child sexual slavery does a booming business worldwide in 2015 in every country…speaking strictly as a revenue source, one can say that the shamans were spot on and 'you can get what you can pay for' as it were. As an aside, note that in some locales laws also restrict the sort of public displays of affection for oneself that are colloquially known as Pee-wee's Big Adventure.
「Grain seeds and bird on ground」: normally, birds are the first to harvest any grain crop, eating the SOFT grains as soon as possible and often while still not yet fully ripe, IMMATURE and VERY YOUNG. The grain head may still be green and TENDER, SOFT, not yet hardened with harvestable seeds. Of course, birds also follow when seeds are spilled on the ground while harvesting, easy pickings for a quick snack.

Always keep in mind that these glyphs were originally created by groups of clever old men as vulgar riddles and analogies for their own entertainment (see 籒 for that) and represented Chinese society many thousands of years ago, and not as a written or spoken language. If these glyphs had been intended for language use, the sages could not have possibly designed a worse system. Is it truly possible that all these glyphs started out as off-color jokes and puzzles? Yes! It is! Sex had no shame in ancient China. Why would it? And now, there is a cover-up. No one is suggesting these glyphs depict contemporary life in China, Japan, or anywhere else. This site describes glyph meanings, not people. These glyphs however, describe many and various things, including people, long before there were any notions of becoming politically incorrect. The question to be answered is, should these glyphs continue being used, by anyone, anywhere, for expressing language? (More...) Despite how bad the human world is today, do you actually believe that the so-called good old days were any better? Or they could only have been worse?

By the way, with a limited number of the same elements used by the sages again and again to form these glyphs, you should expect to find the same explanations again and again, as tedious as that may become, and as an inherent trait of any dictionary. This site explains the dual meanings of glyphs most often ignored by other sources that provide you with only the sanctioned definition, generally.
