Meanings of elements
HORSE and RIVER
…or: REGULAR MASTURBATION and CONSTANT STEADY FLOW
「Horse with river」describes the natural fear most horses initially have of water that must be overcome gradually to achieve FAMILIARITY, INTIMACY, GROW ACCUSTOMED TO:
「This fear of water is most common among new horses that haven't become acclimated to water crossing, but adults can also develop this fear after a traumatic experience such as having taken a fall within a river or near a pool previously. First it is important to understand that not only is this a common problem, there is actually a very good reason for horses to initially fear crossing water. Your horse's eyes are placed to the sides of his head, giving him a monocular vision that allows him to see a far broader scope of his surroundings than a human. The downside is he loses the ability to perceive the same level of detail as a human, and more importantly unlike humans the horse has little to no depth perception.」

Some have suggested the elements as perhaps a「river, continuous flow of compulsive masturbation sessions」may turn the tide in one's favor…wild horses masturbate (left element) 10-15 times per day, after all…. Conversely, permitting a wild horse of a man to masturbate himself may be the key to TAMING, DOMESTICATING, BECOMING FAMILIAR AND INTIMATE WITH, DOCILE and controlling that wild stallion of a man. But first one needs to be able to approach the wild horse. The best horse-tamer who ever lived, John Solomon Rarey recommended how to approach and tame a wild horse in a treatise too long to republish here, but worth a read. The following are excerpts from the preface:
「In contrast with the usual mode of training by harsh words, a sharp whip, and cruel worrying, Mr. Rarey demonstrates how easily, quietly and safely horses may be tamed by kindness. …It requires patience, and the habit of dealing with horses, as well as coolness. But the real work is rather a matter of skill than muscle.」

Mr. Rarey worked only in strict conditions that did not permit others to witness his techniques for an hour or so, and most other trainers understood that Rarey was befriending the horse by assisting with the animal's masturbation needs, a trick the old Chinese horsemasters and Mongolians also enjoyed performing, not to mention the various pleasures of Tsarina Catherine the Great.
As an added benefit, the animal's semen was available as a personal testosterone booster—horse semen shots are available during certain festivals at public houses in New Zealand:「Chef Jason Varley of Wellington's Green Man Pub is topping his dish of seared Asian duck and paua spring rolls with a shot of Hoihoi tatea, better known in laymen's terms as horse semen. The drink was unveiled on June 3, and will only be served for a month during the festival, according to the pub's Facebook page. Varley told The Dominion Post that the concoction was most popular amongst his lady customers and admits to having tried some himself, describing the taste as 'like custard.'.」

Sometimes a few swift whippings to the flanks or a good choke hold works to control the animal, too, he mentions, but only if used sparingly and under the proper conditions.
Without a doubt, the Irish also have knowledge of their own to pass along in these trying times:「Masturbation will not spread coronavirus, especially if you wash your hands (and any sex toys) with soap and water for at least 20 seconds before and after.」Nonetheless and regrettably, unlike in dynastic China, it must be undertaken alone to truly be a preventative countermeasure but still achieve the desired result with some degree of safety.

The Dutch, too have the same solution—it seems masturbation has become mainstream in the media the world over due to the coronavirus (it has always been 'the main stream' in reality, albeit covertly for most folks):
「'Don't have sex with your partner if they have been isolated because of (suspected) coronavirus infection,' the RVIM says. 'Sex with yourself or with others at a distance is possible (think of telling erotic stories, masturbating together).'」
  [ https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/may/15/dutch-official-advice-to-single-people-find-a-sex-buddy-for-lockdown-coronavirus 2020-05-16 ]
Needless to point out perhaps, but Chinese shamans from antiquity hit upon the same solution as a pandemic preventative countermeasure, honed for ultimate client satisfaction by utilizing naked females with no-longer-integrated feet as masturbatory sex buddies available for short-term rental with erotic visualization of live prepubescent female genitalia engaging in autoerotic stimulation herself, as a solution to the same problem facing us now, but in pre-Internet days.

Always keep in mind that these glyphs were originally created by groups of clever old men as vulgar riddles and analogies for their own entertainment (see 籒 for that) and represented Chinese society many thousands of years ago, and not as a written or spoken language. If these glyphs had been intended for language use, the sages could not have possibly designed a worse system. Is it truly possible that all these glyphs started out as off-color jokes and puzzles? Yes! It is! Sex had no shame in ancient China. Why would it? And now, there is a cover-up. No one is suggesting these glyphs depict contemporary life in China, Japan, or anywhere else. This site describes glyph meanings, not people. These glyphs however, describe many and various things, including people, long before there were any notions of becoming politically incorrect. The question to be answered is, should these glyphs continue being used, by anyone, anywhere, for expressing language? (More...) Despite how bad the human world is today, do you actually believe that the so-called good old days were any better? Or they could only have been worse?

By the way, with a limited number of the same elements used by the sages again and again to form these glyphs, you should expect to find the same explanations again and again, as tedious as that may become, and as an inherent trait of any dictionary. This site explains the dual meanings of glyphs most often ignored by other sources that provide you with only the sanctioned definition, generally.
