A rope tied for any purpose that prevents motion, walking, escape, or entry into a restricted area, to impede motion or ward off (trap) evil, restrain criminals, catch fish, lasso animals, tie horses, leash pets, etc. Right element formerly was an insect with two bulging eyes, two sets of wings, and a long tail that appears to have a stinger, i.e., a「dragonfly, damselfly」: an insect with six legs, yet these insects are ANATOMICALLY INCAPABLE OF WALKING a single step, a problem also faced by most Chinese service providers until the last century…elements are also「ejaculations with erection in two plugging orifices.」
　Depicts a method of tying a rope around the male genitals extending across the buttocks orifice of a line of prisoners to prevent escape, that is, the prisoners are HOBBLED and can take only small steps in coordination with the two prisoners before and behind in a LADDER style formation, particularly if the feet are also bound in the same manner. Some dictionaries say the right element is「toad, frog」as animals that do appear a bit hobbled when walking, and attach to the backside of a mate for days when copulating, not unlike the prisoner rope connection.
　Note that the right element with a「head and neck looking up」added becomes「turtle」another animal not especially known for speed while walking, as if it may be HOBBLED, although for other reasons than speed it won the race with that hare. Sea turtles also form into long chains of individuals connected to the backside of the one in front while in copulation mode, normally a single female in front followed by a dozen or so of male-upon-male connections, ladder-like.
