「Intercourse with an obliging partner, as if, one's aims, expectations」is a substitute glyph for 婉: perhaps referring to the actions of a person or something being「as if」and SUBSTITUTING for a「woman」by engaging in talk or sex with someone or something else, or another bodily orifice beside the vagina, or your own hand…the glyph formerly meant EUPHEMISM, or「elegantly substituting one disagreeable word with a different word to obfuscate the bluntness」a situation common with kanji glyphs. Later, the glyph itself took on the meaning of ELEGANT (of all things…) due to the inclusion of wit, sarcasm, irony, double and triple entendre, simile, metaphor, allusion, humor, subtlety, lampooning, etc.,「surrounding, deliberately out-of-reach」what is not being said openly,「from above.」
　「Surrounded, deliberately with consolation and comfort, sympathy」at a time when one is「surrounded, out-of-reach with ill-will, enmity, animosity」can most easily be accomplished by CONSOLING ONESELF with a SUBSTITUTION, EUPHEMISM of one's own devise and imagination, perhaps…a fantasy that is ALWAYS WILLING TO COMPLY, be OBEDIENT to one's whims, and so on.

Always keep in mind that these glyphs were originally created by groups of clever old men as vulgar riddles and analogies for their own entertainment (see 籒 for that) and represented Chinese society many thousands of years ago, and not as a written or spoken language. If these glyphs had been intended for language use, the sages could not have possibly designed a worse system. Is it truly possible that all these glyphs started out as off-color jokes and puzzles? Yes! It is! Sex had no shame in ancient China. Why would it? And now, there is a cover-up. No one is suggesting these glyphs depict contemporary life in China, Japan, or anywhere else. This site describes glyph meanings, not people. These glyphs however, describe many and various things, including people, long before there were any notions of becoming politically incorrect.
