Note that the English meaning CUPIDITY is related to dealing in naked youths in exchange for money, and formerly was a symbol of engaging in prostituted sex with divas, short-term rentals of small but exceptionally skilled well-trained youths. The Roman Cupid (Eros to the Greeks) being the god of eroticism who shot 'arrows' (矢) to affect others with uncontrollable urge to copulate lustfully in profane passions, and fornicating with prostitutes was always a ready option in a moment of extreme need, or even moderate need, assuming one could pay the fare.
