Elements individually as「plant」with「twisting screwing crotch, skilled technique, held up from beneath.」The fruit of this plant is somewhat diamond shaped. Related glyph of「plant, stems」with「pass over, traverse」(淩) perhaps describes the manner in which the leaves of this aquaculture plant traverse, pass over the surface of the water being held up from beneath, or, the manner in which trematode flukes (intestinal worms with skilled technique for screwing one's crotch) causing fasciolopsiasis are passed over to a new host when the fruits are eaten raw or undercooked (always eat your worms fully cooked).「…[T]he larval flukes leave their water snail hosts, and swim away to form cysts on the surfaces of water plants, including the leaves and fruit of water caltrops. The RHOMBUS or DIAMOND SHAPE can be derived by picturing one service provider lying on her backside entertaining two clients simultaneously, one with each of her no-longer-integrated feet…the four sides of a rhombus shape would be created by her two legs bent at the knees, being worked by「emerging shafts」with「twisting screwing crotch, skilled technique, held up from beneath.」

Always keep in mind that these glyphs most likely were originally designed by groups of clever old men as vulgar riddles for their own entertainment (see 籒 for that), representing Chinese society many thousands of years ago, but intended NOT as a written or spoken language when created. If these glyphs had been intended for language use, the sages could not have possibly designed a worse system! Is it truly possible that all these glyphs started out as off-color jokes and puzzles? Yes! It is, and often with multiple correct answers to each riddle, the same as is true today. Sex had no shame in ancient China. Why would it? But, have there been necessary rewrites and altered explanations of the original elemental meanings over the centuries?
