Meanings of elements

BURNING, ON FIRE, FLAMING and SELECTED

Burning the surface of meat.「Burn flaming and selected」as a specific spot deliberately burned, to CAUTERIZE a bleeding would or infection, such as might be common in a gangrenous bound foot. BROILING (「selectively flaming」) kills any bacteria on the surface of meat prior to ingestion.
　LUMINESCENT FLASHING,「flaming for selection」as do fireflies when searching for a sexual mate, sometimes flashing as also said in English「green with envy」as do fireflies (perhaps jealous flaming due to not being the one selected). Sometimes that flame of passion also burns to the death, the same as FLASHING among humans:
　「In the Photuris firefly group, their flashing serves an additional purpose to the other uses. The Photuris female fireflies are expert predators, they are able to replicate the flash given off by females of another species. They use this false signalling ability to prey on and lure in unwary male Photinus, at which stage they devour them. The female firefly deposits her eggs in the ground after fertilization.
