　A fish that, while having a fine flavor, is not a divine supernatural deity in any sense. Elements individually are「fish of forceful speaking, thunderous speech」…fish normally do not speak often, so this combination results not from actual language ability, but instead with the huge mouth it seems to display, as if it could expound on some subject for a long time…but the mouth is not actually so large. The gill slits on each side of its head nearly connect with each other under the animal's jaw, and when cooked after the flesh has softened considerably, the narrow connection to the lower jaw invariably breaks loose, creating what appears to be an enormous mouth (and, it is certain that cooked fish never speak at all).

Always keep in mind that these glyphs were originally created by groups of clever old men as vulgar riddles and analogies for their own entertainment (see 籒 for that) and represented Chinese society many thousands of years ago, and not as a written or spoken language.
