妻と鞘の両方の意味は「最も手の届かないところ」であり、人の加工用具、武器、または刀を指します…しばらく結婚している人には、これ以上の説明はおそらく必要ないでしょう。鞘に納められ、しまってあり、使用されていないか、準備状態ではありません。
Icehouse は、象形文字「凄」と「淒」によって wife とも関連しています。
「穏やかで平和的。臭 くてゆるくて滴る土や下肥を好む。」そして、壁の中の下肥の特定の部屋にいること…壁は、土や泥の中や間、地中や地下、またはスカトロジー的なものとして描かれることが多い（関連象形文字を参照）。この種類の小さな部屋は、屋外トイレを指すこともあります。冬は寒くて暖房がなく、成長期には肥料がいっぱいです。最後に、「上から土や泥で極限まで囲まれ、故意に手の届かない、ゆるくて臭 くて滴る」墓として、平和と静けさの中で安らかに眠る最高の場所。
「Surrounded from above, deliberately out-of-reach」with「arrive, reach a point, to the utmost」hence one must be in a closed ROOM or a small CHAMBER, down in a pit hole (「at home, calm with loose soil」) and not in the woods, on a prairie, over water, or in the big city. Note various meanings refer to being in a place with soil, dirt, or decay, either underground or within dirt.
Both meanings of WIFE and SCABBARD as「out-of-reach to the utmost」referring to one's reaming tool, weapon or sword…likely needs no further explanation to anyone who has been married for some time: sheathed, put away, not in use or in a readied condition.
ICEHOUSE is also related to WIFE by the glyphs 凄 and 淒
「Calm and peaceful preferring stinky, loose and dripping soil or night soil」and being in that particular chamber of night soil, within the walls…walls are often depicted as being within or among soil, dirt, in or under ground, or scatological (see related glyphs). This sort of SMALL ROOM also refers to an outhouse: cold and unheated in the winter, full of fertilizer used in growing seasons. Finally,「surrounded from above by dirt or soil to the utmost, deliberately out-of-reach loose, stinky and dripping」as one's GRAVE, the utmost resting place in peace and calm.

and represented Chinese society many thousands of years ago, and not as a written or spoken language.
If these glyphs had been intended for language use, the sages could not have possibly designed a worse system.
Is it truly possible that all these glyphs started out as off-color jokes and puzzles? Yes! It is!
Sex had no shame in ancient China. Why would it? And now, there is a cover-up.
No one is suggesting these glyphs depict contemporary life in China, Japan, or anywhere else.
This site describes glyph meanings, not people.
These glyphs however, describe many and various things, including people, long before there were any notions of becoming politically incorrect.
The question to be answered is, should these glyphs continue being used, by anyone, anywhere, for expressing language?

Despite how bad the human world is today, do you actually believe that the so-called good old days were any better? Or they could only have been worse?
By the way, with a limited number of the same elements used by the sages again and again to form these glyphs,
you should expect to find the same explanations again and again, as tedious as that may become, and as an inherent trait of any dictionary.
