Particularly among dogs and bitches that are copulating with another canid for the first time, this inability to withdraw can become quite distressing as the animals fight, howl, scream and yelp, trying all sorts of painful positions in order to liberate the dog's penis from the bitch's orifice, that ATTRACTS ATTENTION, causes SURPRISE, ADMIRATION, GRIEF, DOUBT, or QUESTIONING.
