A「few standing grain plants」make little sense as one SECOND in time, or one SECOND of degree of arc. Depicts timing the duration between similar events:「head of woody with continuous stream of emissions sliding down」「bobbing head as it repeatedly reaches the limit」and then drips the discharge. Or「standing grain plants」and「young, streaming head」bobbing up and down only for「a short time and short distance」in the breeze. Span of time between these motion cycles perhaps thought to occur about once per SECOND, rising to straighten a bit only to be pushed down by the breeze again (or, the mass of accumulating gleet at the stalk tip interacting with the force of gravity), only to rise up and repeat the motion, etc.
