Related radical element with three strokes ( 氵) cannot refer to water only as external sources suggest. See the glyphs meaning 'oil' (油), 'alcohol' (酒), 'diarrhea' (泻), and 'gonorrhea' (淋) as a few of many examples, none of which are「water.」Rather, the element ( 氵) refers to a「flowing, streams of fluids」(川, also three strokes by the way) as in anything flowing. Elements in this glyph are「dis-integrated foot, tension」「stream」and「sitting person」(匕, now drawn using「taut head」) as someone who needs to wash her feet with WATER after consummating each business transaction and scooping up a flow of fluids in her sole. A different glyph is used to depict heated or hot water.
Nevertheless, these elements also describe three characteristics of WATER:「tension for a long time」as it applies to the surface tension of water, capable of supporting heavy weights relative to water's own mass and density, such as fallen leaves, flower blossoms and petals, insects, and even sewing needles, coins, and paper clips, with none of these as a floating object but can remain on the surface due to the molecular tension of WATER.「Stream」as a continuously flowing material. And「sitting, settling down」to denote WATER seeks its own level downward until settled and branches in any direction to do so, following the force of gravity. If these glyphs had been intended for language use, the sages could not have possibly designed a worse system.
Is it truly possible that all these glyphs started out as off-color jokes and puzzles? Yes! It is!
Sex had no shame in ancient China. Why would it? And now, there is a cover-up.
No one is suggesting these glyphs depict contemporary life in China, Japan, or anywhere else.

These glyphs however, describe many and various things, including people, long before there were any notions of becoming politically incorrect.
The question to be answered is, should these glyphs continue being used, by anyone, anywhere, for expressing language?

Despite how bad the human world is today, do you actually believe that the so-called good old days were any better? Or they could only have been worse?
By the way, with a limited number of the same elements used by the sages again and again to form these glyphs,
