「Wood invariably」as a place that invariably will be grabbed, a GRIP, or the HANDLE of a weapon, or the place to grab TO GET A HANDLE ON a problem.「Woody invariably, certain」suggests GRIPPING, GRASPING TIGHTLY, as a situation that is bound to occur eventually, as THE PLACE FOR GRABBING HOLD.
　Perhaps referring to a「handle that has been cut into pieces, or pieced together」: bamboo handles function well with teapots and handbags. Cutting bamboo into long strips and then binding them around the grip of a tool or weapon might seem reasonable, but bamboo itself is rather slippery, and will split suddenly into needle-like fiber splinters over time and hard use, not the best idea for a weapon handle. Note that「bamboo」is not an element in this glyph, however, many glyphs equate a woody as a weapon, such as a lance, arrow, dirk, and so on.
　Elementary meanings of「dammed, accumulation in appendage spewing venom」with「woody」further describes at least two reasons for GRIPPING THE WEAPON, one being the need to visit the clinic, the other being an immediate remedial measure for a case of blue balls.
