「Rod weaving and shuttling with crotch」or, in some fonts, two「crotches」or the「crotch」twice indicating two births from the same crotch. Or perhaps in dynastic China two sets of the same elements,「taut」with「no-longer-integrated feet」doubled: each foot was bent over to form a「crotch」in the sole of the foot, with the two feet forming a COUPLED PAIR. Formerly「two narcissistic males in mating positions」with「crotch, both of them」(雙), and the referent PAIR(s) being a multiple birth, or, two clients with two no-longer-integrated feet in use simultaneously. Note that when only one narcissistic male in mating position was attached (隻), the glyph is used as a counter for sailboats in wavelike motions, arrows or other tapered penetrating shafts, birds and chicks, and caught fish with slippery meat…all related to brothel clients.
　May be referring to the manner in which birds generally and to most any other libidinous species that copulate by touching sexual organs of their two crotches in a 'cloacal kiss' since copulation has been and still is the best method of reproduction. Simplified now as「two crotches」TWO THAT LOOK THE SAME. A PAIR, as in socks or gloves, or an expensive set of no-longer-integrated feet, or two primate crotches of the same sex, and so on.

Always keep in mind that these glyphs were originally created by groups of clever old men as vulgar riddles and analogies for their own entertainment (see 籒 for that) and represented Chinese society many thousands of years ago, and not as a written or spoken language.
