Perhaps coming in waves or in wave-like motions as the「completed action of fluid flow」to a WATER'S EDGE. Nonetheless, a「flow of fluids with completed action, can do no more」combined with「flow of fluids loosely dripping with one's dirk」describes being situated BESIDE A FLUID.「Gritty sensation at water's edge」is a Chinese euphemism for anal coitus, and refers to sandy conditions, foamy flecks, wave-like in-out and back again motions, causing compacted soil banks and dikes to form, and so on…all at the edge of the flow of fluids that occurs to complete an action. Always keep in mind that these glyphs most likely were originally designed by groups of clever old men as vulgar riddles for their own entertainment (see 籒 for that), representing Chinese society many thousands of years ago, but intended NOT as a written or spoken language when created.
