Amines, such as ammonia, can be useful for cleaning and disinfecting places such as the skin within the orifices created in no-longer-integrated feet. Liquid amines have a distinctive「fishy」odor, as do genitals infected with sexually transmitted pathogens, with the odor caused by a tiny parasite called Trichomonas vaginalis, with the「emphasis on the surrounding meat of a female」as a direct reference to the vagina.
The「meat of a female under one's own roof」or「emphasis on a consenting ready willing and able female」engaging in sucker fishing may also be equated with addictive opiate analgesics such as morphine, codeine, and heroin, all of which are tertiary AMINES. Sex becomes addicting due to releases of amino-hormones in the brain upon orgasm, principally dopamine, literally the DOPE AMINE (and, why do you think they call it 'dope'?).
In its original parlance, describing a thing or situation as "smells fishy" did refer to having probable cause for extreme doubt and suspicion, but most folks do not realize why innocuous fish are so maligned in this manner. A fishy or pungent-smelling discharge from the vagina or penis may signify the presence of an infection, so caution was advised...and still is today.

Always keep in mind that these glyphs most likely were originally designed by groups of clever old men as vulgar riddles for their own entertainment (see 籒 for that), representing Chinese society many thousands of years ago, but intended NOT as a written or spoken language when created. If these glyphs had been intended for language use, the sages could not have possibly designed a worse system! Is it truly possible that all these glyphs started out as off-color jokes and puzzles? Yes! It is, and often with multiple correct answers to each riddle, the same as is true today. Sex had no shame in ancient China. Why would it? But, have there been necessary rewrites and altered explanations of the original elemental meanings over the centuries?

No one is suggesting these glyphs depict contemporary life in China, Japan, or anywhere else. This site describes glyph meanings, not people. These glyphs however, describe many and various things, including people, long before there were any notions of becoming politically incorrect.
