LEFT HAND on SEAM OF FLESH
Suggestive of the supporting hand, the hand that holds and pinches a seam together between two pieces of skin or animal hide so that the right hand may sew sutures and join the two sides, the LEFT HAND. In the era prior to lightly-scented tissue paper printed with floral patterns, the manner in which a genteel female would remove most of the remaining drops after urinating was to「use left hand to squeeze orifice closed temporarily」thus expelling the clinging piss off her genitals. On the other hand, literally, was her mouth used for eating only (the Indians in India still employ these age-honored sanitation practices).

Always keep in mind that these glyphs were originally created by groups of clever old men as vulgar riddles and analogies for their own entertainment (see 籒 for that) and represented Chinese society many thousands of years ago, and not as a written or spoken language.
