「Viewing women as commodities [see 品] was also made customary from Song Dynasty (960 - 1279) forward, both in the suddenly expanded labor market and within relationships. Men could sell their female kin to slavery or prostitution, and frequently did.」

「Bound feet were a mark of beauty…. Women, their families, and [her owner] took great pride in tiny feet, with the ideal length, called the 'Golden Lotus,' being about 7 cm (2.75 inches) long. …The process was started before the arch of the foot had a chance to develop fully, usually between the ages of 2 and 5. …Bound feet were once considered intensely erotic in Chinese culture. …Qing Dynasty sex manuals listed 48 different ways of playing with women's bound feet.」

「In traditional Chinese medicine, there has never been a mental disease called pedophilia (or an equivalent term), or homosexuality, or most of the other so-called sexual variations for that matter. …Children are usually described as natural sexual beings and erotic stimulation and sex-play are seen as beneficial to their healthy development.」

「Transformed into fleshpot」or「transformed asset, wealth」noting the upper elements refer to the process of dis-integrating feet to become divinely transformed into sex machine COMMODITIES, hence someone's PROPERTY of VALUE to be traded, bought and sold by the shamans and lords, an ASSET, GOODS, a useful meat PRODUCT, and something (no longer 'someone') that must be CARRIED as CARGO, FREIGHT since the girl could no longer walk of her own accord. Note the English semblance among the words「commode」and「commodities」that both related directly to the female genitals.
「Convertible wealth」as harem herd meat assets, chattel cattle that were traded among lords, the cargo, the goods, and so on.「Convertible wealth」as service providers available as short-term meat rentals at the shaman's temples of love, shrines of sex, pleasure palaces, caves o' wonder used to convert a client's wealth into the shaman's wealth.
Alternatively,「transformed and cauldron」perhaps refers to our early human cannibal days of a「person knocked down, transformed」and becomes PROPERTY of VALUE, an ASSET, but must first be CARRIED back to the home cavern as CARGO, FREIGHT and placed into the「fleshpot」to become transformed into GOODS, a useful meat PRODUCT, that is, a VALUABLE meal everyone at home can eat.
Note that meat in its various forms was used as the first true CURRENCY among both cannibals and shamans, and was both more readily accepted and easier to enjoy eating than seashells, silver and gold, or paper currency.

Always keep in mind that these glyphs most likely were originally designed by groups of clever old men as vulgar riddles for their own entertainment (see 籒 for that), representing Chinese society many thousands of years ago, but intended NOT as a written or spoken language when created. If these glyphs had been intended for language use, the sages could not have possibly designed a worse system! Is it truly possible that all these glyphs started out as off-color jokes and puzzles? Yes! It is, and often with multiple correct answers to each riddle, the same as is true today. Sex had no shame in ancient China. Why would it? But, have there been necessary rewrites and altered explanations of the original elemental meanings over the centuries?

No one is suggesting these glyphs depict contemporary life in China, Japan, or anywhere else. This site describes glyph meanings, not people. These glyphs however, describe many and various things, including people, long before there were any notions of becoming politically incorrect. The question to be answered is, should these glyphs continue being used, by anyone, anywhere, for expressing language? (More...) Despite how seemingly bad our human existence is today, do you actually believe that the so-called good old days were any better? Or could they have been worse?

By the way, with a limited number of the same elements used by the sages again and again to form these glyphs, you should expect to find the same explanations again and again, as tedious as that may become, and as an inherent trait of any lexicon. This site explains multiple meanings of glyphs ignored or censored by other sources, generally as being too embarrassing to admit today.
