Deep and sad feeling of being stretched to the absolute limit of full girth, perhaps during childbirth…post-partum depression. Becoming depressed due to jealousy. Becoming disappointed after trying all readily available options. Perhaps refers to DEPRESSION associated with post-coital tristesse (PCT). Glyph likely represents the perspective of a service provider (「young and small」left element) and not that of the client (倜).
　Or, no matter what happens or no matter what we humans do or not do in life, the「deep feeling with the full cycle of events」is that we return to the starting point, and that, is DISAPPOINTING: nothing really matters, nothing really changes, a 'life sucks and then you die' mentality. If these glyphs had been intended for language use, the sages could not have possibly designed a worse system. Is it truly possible that all these glyphs started out as off-color jokes and puzzles? Yes! It is! Sex had no shame in ancient China. Why would it? And now, there is a cover-up. No one is suggesting these glyphs depict contemporary life in China, Japan, or anywhere else.
