Nobles and wealthy folks lived their lives on the top of hills and slopes.「Array of human backsides and spread feet, head in crotches with raw prick heads」refers to BULGING, PROTUBERANCES and PEAK, PEAKING, LIFE AT THE TOP with all the PROSPERITY and FLOURISHING of the life enjoyed by royalty (be sure to see 窿). We have no idea why this also means the sound of beating drums, unless this was some sort of ritual or carnival organized by shamans with rhythmic pounding against buttocks meat that has now faded from memory, unfortunately or fortunately as the case may be. Perhaps the arrayed sets of buttocks cheeks all lined up were accessed rhythmically by protuberances in unison to the cadence of drumbeats in two lines of jiggling booty dancing as the life sometimes enjoyed by royalty, or more likely, a sales and marketing event of wealthy invitees all simultaneously accessing the backsides of line members caused the drumbeating sound (probably, both drums and client motion cadence were employed…may also have been some sort of sport, or an endurance contest with judging, scoring, and referees). English word 'carnival' literally means「meat is raised, lifted.」…various type of meat, rods raised or buttocks in lordosis position.
