Glyph elements  [ Toggle Font ]

Meanings of elements
WILD DOG ERECTION, QUICK MOVEMENTS IN ALL DIRECTIONS with HIGH TENSION A LONG TIME WITH GASPS
…or: ERECT MALE as a WILD DOG
…or: ERECTION with SLIDING HEAD of STAKE INTO SOIL and DISCHARGING with MALE, BLASTING SHAFT, VIGOROUS DISCHARGE, ROD STREAMING
[Elements vary by font] this glyph is a shining example of why it may be best not to use Chinese glyphs for writing any longer:「erect wild dog」or「erection sliding head of stake into soil and discharging」with the internal element as either「male, blasting shaft, vigorous discharge, rod streaming」or「long time in tension, gasping, no-longer-integrated foot」and therefore TO SUCCEED, TO ACHIEVE ONE'S PURPOSE, BE COMPLETED, DO COMPLETELY, to BECOME COMPLETE. Arguably, the integrated elements speak for themselves as to meaning.
Nevertheless, an explanation of canid dog and bitch anatomy may be necessary for some folks: anatomical features at the base of a canid dog's penile shaft force it to COMPLETE the full actions of copulation necessary to achieve fertilization, and, to be ALL IN, COMPLETELY inserted from the glans tip all the way to behind the base of the penile shaft: a「dog erect straight up in high tension for a long time and gasping」is likely to have COMPLETED his intended purpose of DOING a bitch in heat…'bitches' are female canids. Male canids, the 'dogs,' are endowed with a very special penis, unlike any other species. A dog is equipped with two glands located at the base of the shaft that engorge and harden upon erection, normally after baculum penetration into the bitch's vaginal orifice (a baculum is a bone located within the dog's penis that enables rapid insertion, i.e., spearing). These locking bulbus glandis swell large enough to prevent the penis from being extracted from the bitch's vagina for quite some time, normally ten to fifteen minutes (or up to an hour in some cases), to allow the dog's semen sufficient time to get enough of a head start toward the bitch's ova that the male might actually sire some pups, COMPLETING his mission in life, rather than the next dog waiting to mount the same bitch in heat. External element also means「fifth, five」perhaps as the dog's four legs and one boner, the bony erection, its fifth 'attacking limb, the spear' (in exactly the same manner as the Chinese referred to a human's erection as the 'third leg'). Perhaps signifying that every possible and available human orifice was accessed (including a girl's no-longer-integrated feet in China), meaning that the deed was DONE COMPLETELY…see related glyph () as 'emerging glans of dog with fleshpot.'

Always keep in mind that these glyphs were originally created by groups of clever old men as vulgar riddles and analogies for their own entertainment (see 籒 for that) and represented Chinese society many thousands of years ago, and not as a written or spoken language. If these glyphs had been intended for language use, the sages could not have possibly designed a worse system. Is it truly possible that all these glyphs started out as off-color jokes and puzzles? Yes! It is! Sex had no shame in ancient China. Why would it? And now, there is a cover-up. No one is suggesting these glyphs depict contemporary life in China, Japan, or anywhere else. This site describes glyph meanings, not people. These glyphs however, describe many and various things, including people, long before there were any notions of becoming politically incorrect. The question to be answered is, should these glyphs continue being used, by anyone, anywhere, for expressing language? (More...) Despite how bad the human world is today, do you actually believe that the so-called good old days were any better? Or they could only have been worse?

By the way, with a limited number of the same elements used by the sages again and again to form these glyphs, you should expect to find the same explanations again and again, as tedious as that may become, and as an inherent trait of any dictionary. This site explains the dual meanings of glyphs most often ignored by other sources that provide you with only the sanctioned definition, generally.
