Two actual species of melon, if planted too closely together, will often cross-pollinate, causing the fruit of each to be insipid or acquire a strange and unpleasant flavor in many cases. Two out-of-reach melons (two girls with cucumbers together) can do no good for a male and are useless, becoming SPOILED after being with one another and naturally then not wanting anything more to do with the lord, owner, or [male] clients. In China cucumbers are euphemistic of a female human losing her virginity, and in this case perhaps doing so with the other melon in a form of cross-pollination on a human level, which then leads to suggest the glyph refers to only one individual employing two melons simultaneously…CRUDE, RAW, PURE and UNDILUTED.
