　Now for the nice interpretations:「surround from above, roof of a home, deliberately out-of-reach」with「entrust, complete faith in」is the place where a person has a HOME. A polite term for YOU as in「I am trusting you」while I am a guest in your home, maybe? possibly depicts being entrusting of another sufficiently to allow that person into your home, and the use your roofed pit hole as a home for a while, say, during your trip to the Bahamas. Or, for you to trust another person sufficiently to stay in the other person's pit hole and sleep.
　Some of a scorpion's favorite prey is the trap-door spider, often killing it by waiting inside the spider's own burrow until the spider returns, as an example of trust being strongly linked to someone staying in a borrowed pit hole—easily murdered for a wallet, or for meat.
