Top-left element may well refer to「stench cloud meat」since BEARS have a distinctive odor, similar to a powerful blast of dog shit if you are downwind of the animal, also leading to the elements referring to the sort of human who smells like dog shit as in SCOLD, REBUKE due to「stench cloud from body meat and emissions that will knock folks on their ass.」Bears don't seem to mind one another's odors, as long as there is agreement to copulate, again not unlike some humans…SCOLD, REBUKE doesn't mean 'action terminated' since some partner will simply grin and bear it (that is, behave as do bears…really).
