A long lance, defined as one that can penetrate through the「disobedient meat of woody」…the length of an actual spear or lance is always sufficiently long to pass through the thickness of (almost) any human body, hence these elements may be referring to the「disobedient meat of a woody」as being a LONG SHAFT or needle used to ream the urethral portal and dislodge scar tissue: a BOUGIE was a「long twisting needle for extracting emissions」operated in most cases while「face to face」with the patient and his woody out of necessity (not the doctor's first choice of positioning due to the accumulated pus held under pressure prior to needle insertion), with a series of clinic visits required to complete the treatment, the「start of the cycle.」

Always keep in mind that these glyphs were originally created by groups of clever old men as vulgar riddles and analogies for their own entertainment (see 籒 for that) and represented Chinese society many thousands of years ago, and not as a written or spoken language. If these glyphs had been intended for language use, the sages could not have possibly designed a worse system. Is it truly possible that all these glyphs started out as off-color jokes and puzzles?
