「Threads with hole to adjust positioning and balance」: sewing concepts. Human connections with blame related to being seized or arrested. SHINING relates to a continual flow of fishy-smelling fluids that constantly cause slimy wetness on a surface that would have been cause for arresting entry into the restricted brothel zone of a town during an inspection at the gateway entrance:「various penile emissions from hole, adjust positioning and balance.」
In its original parlance, describing a thing or situation as "smells fishy" did refer to having probable cause for extreme doubt and suspicion, but most folks do not realize why innocuous fish are so maligned in this manner. A fishy or pungent-smelling discharge from the vagina or penis may signify the presence of an infection, so caution was advised...and still is today.
