「Stream of fleshpot ingredients, coffins with progeny」suggests the Chinese sages' attitude with regard to compulsory military service to the STATE, fulfilling what today is deemed a PATRIOTIC DUTY by some.
A reference to「executing someone」and「all their relatives, kin, progeny」representing a degree of vengeful action or punishment based upon law that only the STATE GOVERNMENT (including pirates, bandits, and God Almighty) would dare to perform. Before many countries were unified (Japan, China, and the U.S.A. as examples), each was a collection of warring states as ruled by different warlords, in effect separate countries. Few folks today realize that early in its history, states of what is today a country called the United States of America (that is, some independent states located in the Western Hemisphere named after Amerigo Vespucci that later became united, somewhat) went to war against one another, as did what are today called 'prefectures' in Japan. 'state' formerly meant the same as 'country' in English, which is why prior to unification as one country, individual colonies after the American revolution became 'states' (semantics: four of the fifty states are technically a commonwealth: Kentucky, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and Virginia).

Always keep in mind that these glyphs most likely were originally designed by groups of clever old men as vulgar riddles for their own entertainment (see 籒 for that), representing Chinese society many thousands of years ago, but intended NOT as a written or spoken language when created. If these glyphs had been intended for language use, the sages could not have possibly designed a worse system! Is it truly possible that all these glyphs started out as off-color jokes and puzzles? Yes! It is, and often with multiple correct answers to each riddle, the same as is true today. Sex had no shame in ancient China. Why would it? But, have there been necessary rewrites and altered explanations of the original elemental meanings over the centuries?

No one is suggesting these glyphs depict contemporary life in China, Japan, or anywhere else. This site describes glyph meanings, not people. These glyphs however, describe many and various things, including people, long before there were any notions of becoming politically incorrect.
