A widespread form of traditional healing in the East, moxibustion is one of the most ancient medical therapies known to humanity. Mainly popularized as a branch of Chinese medicine, moxibustion was formerly practiced in Shang Shung, a kingdom predating Tibet whose existence can be traced back at least four thousand years.」

　Perhaps also may relate to AROMATHERAPY by using scents of slow-burning woods as part of the healing process, or the healthful benefits of vaporized cannabis buds. Buddhists use clouds of incense smoke when praying for a healing and while chanting that historically include cannabis, and many other religious folks still think the same today. On the other hand, it might mean that if you still think burning animal sacrifices on an altar will cure something, maybe you should get some THERAPY yourself.

Always keep in mind that these glyphs were originally created by groups of bored old men as vulgar riddles and analogies for their own entertainment (see 籒 for that) and represented Chinese society many thousands of years ago, and not as a written or spoken language. If these glyphs had been intended for language use, the sages could not have possibly designed a worse system. Is it truly possible that all these glyphs started out as off-color jokes and puzzles? Yes! It is! Sex had no shame in ancient China. Why would it? And now, there is a cover-up. No one is suggesting these glyphs depict contemporary life in China, Japan, or anywhere else.
