What better explanation of an EMPEROR in FIRM CONTROL is there than a reference to his huge harem of concubines managed by eunuchs:「emphasis on array of items, rod control of emissions surrounding rod vertical in spread legs, one's pride, frequent repetition.」
　「Controlling head」or「emissions erection standing in surrounding loincloth」as IN FIRM CONTROL of the underlying appendage. Or,「swell underwear」used to conceal an erection rearing its ugly head when the moment was inopportune, a function not likely needed by anyone outside the imperial court of course (see 帶 a「tight sash belted around the groin」). Some have suggested this glyph may formerly have depicted a DEIFIED BEING who spent his days surrounded with erections and loincloths. Note that taken literally, the sarcasm of the sages is once again apparent. As「swollen erect schmekel in loincloth from all sides」also may refer to the EMPEROR and sex, not free to schtup (ejaculation into a birth canal or other attainable orifice) except within the court harem, but which ought to have been adequate by all accounts. Obviously all the GODS and other DEIFIED BEINGS ought to have the schmekel under firm control in a loincloth…deities, religious leaders, and EMPERORS all seem to have abused their powers in that manner at various times.

Always keep in mind that these glyphs were originally created by groups of clever old men as vulgar riddles and analogies for their own entertainment (see 籒 for that) and represented Chinese society many thousands of years ago, and not as a written or spoken language. If these glyphs had been intended for language use, the sages could not have possibly designed a worse system. Is it truly possible that all these glyphs started out as off-color jokes and puzzles? Yes! It is! Sex had no shame in ancient China. Why would it? And now, there is a cover-up. No one is suggesting these glyphs depict contemporary life in China, Japan, or anywhere else. This site describes glyph meanings, not people. These glyphs however, describe many and various things, including people, long before there were any notions of becoming politically incorrect.
