Interestingly, external sources describe this glyph to mean either an ancient type of spoon (that is, a scoop for containing a small volume of fluid), or, a 'dirk' which is a short concealed knife for reaming holes, stabbing and penetrating flesh. Frankly, any spoon or knife shaped as is this element would be fairly useless. Perhaps these external sources are attempting to conceal the true meaning, as demonstrated by the 1,000 or so glyphs in this database that use this element to mean SOMEONE WHO MUST SIT MOST OF THE TIME due to having her feet dis-integrated and used as a scoop for fluids that have been ejaculated from a human dirk (read: 'dick' in the common parlance), which require scooping prior to engaging the next client by the service provider, defined as a female (generally) who vends the comfort of her lap, or in the case of dynastic China, also her dis-integrated feet as was mentioned, her anus, armpits, breasts, mouth, head hair, and anywherever [sic] else the client requests.
　Traditional fonts use either「repeated, bobbing head」or「array」with「curled penis」. Elements may also be「prepubescent girl」merged with「penis」to resemble a PERSON SITTING…and training to become professional pleasure meat, having special knowledge, a head for giving head, or, feet. As an element, this glyph often appears as one of three variations:
　(1) in this form (匕), as someone who cannot stand any longer, a PERSON WHO SHOULD BE SITTING for some reason, likely related to dis-integrated or hurting feet, or some serious injury, broken bones, serious metatarsal issues, a podiatrist's nightmare, and so on.
　(2)「taut」(乀) with「head」(ノ) as a reference to the use of dis-integrated concubine feet in China some time ago by her master, owner, or a client engaging in a short-term rental…see related glyph (勺) and some examples containing this written form on the right side: 火 as hot flaming on fire burning, 氺 slimy viscous, 水 water, 氶 torpor, 辰 conception, 求 in demand, 豖 hogtied hampered, and so on. Having an understanding of this form of the element will help explain what it is that fire, water, slime, torpor, conception, in demand, hog and hampered all share in common with the meaning of dis-integrated feet of a Chinese service provider.
　(3) recent modifications to glyphs that have been 'modernized' draw these two strokes as a single element,「loose, warped, demented」(く) as might be a flopped-open, unbound dis-integrated foot—modernizations perhaps intended to further obscure the original meaning, since dis-integrating the feet of little girls and selling them as sex slaves to use their feet as a masturbatory aid and to hinder flight is no longer socially acceptable (and quite rightly, too).
