Cut「timber」as MATERIALS used with「talent, age.」「Wood geniuses」refers to the various types of beavers that work skillfully with wood, both the animals that dam streams by gnawing and felling trees, known for being both busy and RESOURCEFUL, and the beavers who skillfully worked tonguing wood on behalf of the shaman as service providers and her TALENTED human RESOURCES…the source of that English usage, perhaps? a large rodent (子) with webbed hind feet (足) and a broad flat tail (㞑) that gnaws wood?
　In modern usage, refers to any sort of RESOURCES and not only timber, or to beaver.「Woody with talent or with age」as a person WITH ABILITY, APTITUDE and RESOURCEFULNESS, but that may have led some men to an early grave, one's COFFIN, which is the original meaning to no one's surprise:「woody with a blockage and accumulating fluids, or, head with array of streaming」that describes a tertiary case of gonorrhea causing both internal scarring of the urethra and a continuous flow streaming from the meatus in the woody glans head.

Always keep in mind that these glyphs were originally created by groups of clever old men as vulgar riddles and analogies for their own entertainment (see 籒 for that) and represented Chinese society many thousands of years ago, and not as a written or spoken language.
