[Elements vary by font]「Sex sells (especially when selling sex), selling with sex, selling sexual intercourse」as it relates to READING these very glyphs. Right-center element was「copulation within orifice」(四, 讀), but now「netting, netted」has replaced it. Modern elements have been simplified to「penis bound on all sides while copulating」(読). Describes the sages getting together and discussing these glyphs by「flaunting」their own intelligence to first create each glyph, and then READING THE MIND of the creator, READING BETWEEN THE LINES so to speak and discern hidden meanings when the presentation took place in front of the other sages. If these glyphs had been intended for language use, the sages could not have possibly designed a worse system. Is it truly possible that all these glyphs started out as off-color jokes and puzzles? Yes! It is! Sex had no shame in ancient China. Why would it? And now, there is a cover-up. No one is suggesting these glyphs depict contemporary life in China, Japan, or anywhere else.
